IT Market - What is the future job market for IT professionals

I was watching the news and there has been alot of job let gos in the technical fields. Is becoming a Internet/Network Professional still a go choice? I am A+ certified, NET+ certified and CNA certified. I am working towards my MCSE. Is there expected growth in this field?
