So, I was joking with our CTO the other day about having the company pay to send me to SANS008 for a 5 day class on advanced Windows Security in Orlando this April. To my surprise he took it seriously and is actually considering sending me. Now the 5 day class in question is designed to help you obtain the GIAC Certified Windows Security Administrator cert.
I must admit I haven't looked too closely at GIAC Certs before, so does anyone know how they are perceived, and would having this Cert be a significant boost to my MCSE: Security?
In any case the training looks really interesting, and I'm kind of intrigued by the notion of a 3rd party approach to MIcrosoft training, that seems more focused on how to Secure Windows in real life as opposed to the "Microsoft way"
Any feedback would be appreciated |
