Passed Site Designer 1D0-520

Ok... How in the world do you put such broad subjects in one exam? I mean really?

Ok, thats probably true of a lot of exams, so let me stop complaining. But I passed the exam, almost there to the Master Designer. The exam is not too bad, just that we you cover languages like JavaScript, XHTML, CSS, XML, and Flash in one exam, its kind of nerve racking because they can ask just about anything from those subjects. Fortunately, its only 70 questions. I guess the main thing I am happy about is I was able to broaden my knowledge, which should come in handy on my new project.

Since there is never enough information on CIW's exams (a good and bad thing), My tips? Know the Project Management stuff cold as well as Design implementation. Quite a few questions on implementation. Understand the basics of XHTML and CSS, and especially Javascript. I got amnesia on that.

There were questions on there that were not covered in any material I had, which is expected since these are newer exams and all they have for study materials is CIW's own stuff, which is expensive and annoying. I used some older books and materials I got off Ebay to study. I even got the voucher off ebay for $79! I like Ebay Fortunately my job had some CBT training I could use as well. If you are new to a lot of the material, sit down and write a little code to help understand how the stuff works and interacts. Thats the best way to learn.

But take you time studying for this one.
