I would hazard a guess and say no. CompTIA certs are still entry level certs. Even if you make them a bit more difficult, they are still recognized by the industry as entry level.

LPI certs are MUCH more difficult. If you have quite a bit of Linux experience, then it is actually not to difficult, but you better be prepared. This is not for a linux novice or someone without some serious hands on experience.

LPI also has more of a "blessing" from the open source community...for what that is worth.
