To make the most of your time when attending a class do your best to do some work outside of class time. If at all possible, get your hands on the study material a few days before the class commences. Read through at least the table of contents so that you will know what to expect from the class. Also, try to skim over roughly the first day's worth of material. Next, after each day of class, try to read over both the material covered that day and the material to be covered the next day.
By doing this, you will have covered the material three times: once before the lecture, during the lecture and shortly after the lecture. This repetition will accelerate your learning and will make for less studying after the course is over. Sure you have to really dedicate yourself the week of the class, but you will save time because you will have less to review when you're ready to take the exam. |
