MCSE, Which one? - A little confused.

Hi,

Hope you can help to shed a little light on this. I have been working in IT for almost two years. Working for a handful of Investment Banks, in 1st & 2nd line support roles. I passed my four core NT exams about 18 months ago and they stood me well, in regards to getting work.

I have been travelling for the last 4/5 months and am now back on the job hunting scene, which isn't going fantastically due to the current economic climate, especially as I want more banking work.

What I need to know is, that in my previous position, there was a big emphasis on people getting their win2000 MCSE, which I have started now, as self-study. But I'm a little unsure of Microsofts plans for the future, regarding, XP, .NET etc...

What I want to know is, is it worth me putting a lot of effort into 2000, or should I be thinking of skipping it already for the next technology, i.e. XP ?? Hope you can help!

MCSE 2003

go for that one instead of the 2000 as it is really old. the 2008 upgrade is available now but you should be a 2003 MCSE certified. So why would you go for the 2000, then 2003 and end up upgrading to 2008?
